This program will save information about files in a MySQL database. Then you can search

for filenames in the database and find on which backup medium your wanted file is located.

To be able to use it, you need to have MySQL installed on your computer.

Program setup

Start program

Program will tell you that you need to setup a backup table. Click on the Setup tab and

define a table in the MySQL database that you will use to store information about your

backups.

On this page you can change a number of settings to connect to your MySQL database.

Click the OnlineCheck button to see that you are connected to a live database.

You need to setup a table to use for saving backup info. Enter a name in

and click Create button. If you run into problems, click on

the Log tab and check the exact error message from MySQL.

Program operation

Typical operation of this program will be to first save files to a backup medium, for example

a DVD, then run this program to read the contents of the DVD and save the backup info in the

database. Click Select button , select the backup container and then press Create

Program searched the container and saves info about the files.

When it is done it gives you a number that you should write on the DVD. When you search

for files later, this number will tell you on which disk the file is located.

The search funtion is pretty self-explanatory and I will let you, the user, figure it out.
